THE U.S National Weather Service has warned drivers to be cautious, as the insects may limit visibility.

Jeff Knight, an entomologist at the Nevada Department of Agriculture, said after a wet winter or spring, such migrations may occur and the insects will eventually move north.

TIME quoted Knight as saying that the grasshoppers aren’t harmful but if residents want to keep them away, they can replace outdoor white lighting with orange or amber lights.
