DURING the Tanjung Piai by-election last week, Pakatan Harapan lost – and lost badly it did.
What can the Pakatan coalition do to turn these bad tidings over?
Well for starters, Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad must reshuffle his Cabinet lineup.
Reshuffling the Cabinet is now a must. It is not an option.
The reason why Pakatan lost in Tanjung Piai was that the rakyat are disillusioned with the coalition.
The rakyat’s main bone of contention was the rising cost of living.
It was not due to Zakir Naik, not due to the jawi and khat issue, not due to the Chinese schools issue and not certainly because of Datuk Seri Najib Razak.
Pakatan lost not because DAP is in control of the country.
Pakatan lost in Tanjung Piai lost due to bread and butter issue.
The rakyat just wants Pakatan to address the high cost of living.
