KUALA LUMPUR – MALAYSIA AIRPORTS HOLDINGS BHD (MAHB) said it has appointed Datuk Mohd Shukrie Mohd Salleh (pic) as the acting new group chief executive officer (GCEO) with immediate effect following Raja Azmi Raja Nazuddin’s resignation yesterday.
MAHB, in a filing with Bursa Malaysia yesterday, said Raja Azmi has left the airport operator to pursue other opportunities.
“The Board would like to thank Raja Azmi for his services and would like to wish him well in his future endeavours, ” the company said in a statement to Bernama.
“As a public-listed company, MAHB will be undertaking the proper process to identify and appoint a suitable successor, ” it added.
Meanwhile, Shukrie joined MAHB on May 1,2019 as chief operating officer (COO).
He was previously the group CEO of Pos Malaysia Bhd and COO at AIRASIA Malaysia.
Raja Azmi’s sudden departure is the second high profile changes at MAHB in less than a week. On Dec 31, MAHB hired former UEM SUNRISE BHD’s Mohamed Rastam Shahrom as new CFO.
