KUALA LUMPUR — Petronas Gas Bhd has announced the appointment of Adif Zulkifli as its chairman effective July 1 to replace Datuk Mohd Anuar Taib.
Petronas Gas, in a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, said the board of directors has accepted Anuar’s resignation on Thursday.
The appointment of Adif as chairman, according to Petronas Gas, was in line with the internal reorganisation of parent company Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas).
Anuar, 51, remained as Petronas executive vice president (EVP) and CEO of upstream business, but the gas portfolio has been transferred to Adif.
Adif, 49, was promoted to EVP and to the role of CEO of newly created gas and new energy business at Petronas. He was previously the senior vice president of development and production at Petronas upstream business.
